GPS can't pronounce Spanish names. The only water at Aguirre Springs campground is at the camp hosts site close to the highway. There are two sharp turns on the narrow entrance road so long trailers can't use the campground.

Paso de hoces

I had been in Jackson Hole in 1990 and watched rodeo games there. It was amazing to be in a western style settlement. The people living there were all kind and helpful. I've loved to be there.

Garbage. Built on stolen land, possibly over the blood of Natives, with colonial made states. Pure garbage.

The marker is around 1,800 ft. east of where it was actually intended. -- A basic tenet of boundary surveying is that once a monument has been established and accepted by the parties involved (in the case of the Four Corners monument, the parties were the four territories and the U.S. Congress), the location of the physical monument is the ultimate authority in delineating a boundary. So it became, and still is, the exact legal boundary marker. Previous technical geodetic details are absolutely moot. All four state boundaries lead directly to it. So yes, you got to be in four states at once for real.

What about Lake Mendota? It is as beautful and interesting as Lake Monona.

When I was a kid we used to go to the Peabody Orlando to watch the “duck parade” as my brother and I called it. It was simple fun and didn’t cost anything so my mom and dad were more than happy to take us once a week. The Peabody Orlando is a Marriott now and the ducks are gone :(

Its crazy to think that at upper mesa falls the cliffs that surround the falls are ancient huge piles of ash hundreds of feet tall. The mesa falls tuff.
